One of my earliest memories is standing next to my sister, Angel, or as he would call her, "Face"—while he pushed candy through the fence to us at school for us to enjoy throughout the day or share with our friends if we wanted to.

My favorite memory with my uncle Ricky isn’t a specific moment but rather a trait of his I’ll miss and that is how funny my uncle was.

Although my father, Ricki, was not a part of my life growing up, I still recognize that he gave me the gift of life, and for that I am grateful.
